Easy Recipe Mix Vegetable Pulao

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp chopped ginger
  • 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 2-3 cloves
  • 1 green chili, chopped 1
  • 1/2 c mixed vegetables,
  • chopped 4 c water
  • 1/4 c cashew nuts, roasted
  • 2 sticks cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp raisins, sautéed

Directions

  • Clean, wash, and soak rice for 1/2 hour.
  • Heat butter, add onion and sauté till golden brown.
  • Add ginger and sauté: for a few minutes. Add cumin seeds, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, green chili, and mixed vegetables; stir, cover, then simmer for a while.
  • Add drained rice and salt and stir for 5 minutes.
  • Add water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat.
  • Cover and cook on low heat till done.
  • Garnish with cashews and raisins.
